Since they have to have a nickname for every NASCAR driver in the US, Dale Earnhart Jr is simply The Junior. This is one of my favourite shots of the NASCAR weekend in Sears Point in 2005. This is during single-car qualifying, when I could take pictures because the SCCA marshals were replaced by official NASCAR marshals ;-)
This is also possibly the most interesting corner on the track, especially for watching drivers who are normally oval experts. I’ve rarely seen so many different lines and braking points in the same corner…
